Sole E25 Elliptical Trainer Review
Sole Fitness makes elliptical trainers and treadmills, and has an excellent reputation for quality. The Hilton chain of hotels uses Sole machines for their fitness rooms. They are also known for their excellent customer service, solid warranty, and affordable price range. This review will focus on their entry level model, the Sole E25 elliptical trainer.
Sole E25 Overview
The Sole E25 is a front drive elliptical. It is their budget model, but maintains the quality that Sole Fitness in known for. It is also smaller than their other models by about 11", but has the same stride length of 20" which is very comfortable. Although the elliptical motion is not as fluid as their other models, it performs very well and is a great choice for anyone wanting the best quality at the lowest price.
Sole E25 Features
The Sole E25 has a very basic LCD display, which you would expect from a lower-priced model. Although there is no heart rate control, you do get a pulse readout with the wireless heart rate strap. It also has a built-in fan and speakers. Neither of these are overly powerful, but they work nicely and are nice features to get on a budget elliptical. It is weight-rated for 325 lbs, but a more realistic limit is probably closer to 250 lbs.
You can get a great workout with this elliptical trainer. It has 16 resistance levels, and a manual incline so you can change the angle and get a more strenuous workout, as well as increase the toning on your thighs, calves and glutes. You can only change the incline to 15 and 30 degrees, and have to make this adjustment manually before you get on the machine. The adjustable, articulating foot pedals are very comfortable, because they move along with the motion of the elliptical and help prevent any strain on your ankles and feet.
Sole E25 Value
Priced at just under $1000, this model qualifies as their budget model. As such, you will not get gym-room quality from this elliptical trainer. However, the performance is very good, and the construction is solid and steady. Sole has not sacrificed quality in order to market a lower-budget elliptical.
Sole E25 Bottom Line
If you're looking for an affordable elliptical trainer, the Sole E25 elliptical trainer is a great value. The build quality is solid and stable. If you're not a hardcore exerciser and just want to get a good workout in your home, and you don't mind sacrificing a few power features for manual features, then this elliptical machine will work well for you.
