Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer Review
Sole Fitness is well known for their treadmills, but they have made a real name for themselves with their line of elilptical trainers. So much so, in fact, that Hilton hotels uses Sole ellipticals exclusively for their in-room fitness! This review will focus on their top of the range model, the Sole E95 elliptical trainer.
Sole E95 Features
The Sole E95 has some the same features that make their other models so great. Adjustable, articulating foot pedals, a comfortable 20" stride length, built-in speakers, and a built-in fan. You can target your lower body further with the adjustable power incline, easy to do mid-workout from the handlebar control.
The E95 stands out on several features. First, it has two wheels that are concave, which means you get a very steady, solid elliptical motion. Most front drive ellipticals have one wheel, which means a lot of shifting and side-to-side motion. You get none of that with the E95.
You also get 20 resistance levels, which you can change from the convenient handlebar controls. This gives you the ability to up your intensity in small, incremental levels during your workout. And the heart rate control lets you determine where your intensity should be. The message window on the display gives you rolling readouts, so you know how you're progressing.
This machine is heavier than their other models, at about 215 lbs. The flywheel is 30 lbs alone. This means you get an elliptical that stays steady, no wobbling, so you can push your workouts to the limit without compromising your safety. And even though it's a heavy-duty trainer, it is not heavy-duty on noise.
Value for Money
At less than half the price of high-end Precor models, you get great value and quality. The price varies, but generally is around $1700 to $2000. And it's covered by the same unbeatable Sole warranty -- 5 years on parts, and 2 years on labor.
Sole E95 - The Bottom Line
Overall, a great machine. Sure, you can get a better elliptical... if you want to spend at least double the price of the E95! And even if you do, you still won't get the same great warranty. While this is a large machine, if you've got the room for it is well worth losing a bit of space for the increased stability and strength. It's got all the features you'll need for a great workout, and at quality comparable to higher-priced machines. You'll get gym quality in your own home, and don't need to mortgage your house to get it. All in all, the Sole E95 elliptical trainer is a great piece of fitness equipemnt to have for the home.
